About
I design for experts who decide with too much data.
For more than ten years I've designed tools for astronomers, transit operators, mine inspectors, arbitrators and network engineers, from Santiago, Chile.

How I work
I start by learning the domain until I can speak its language: observing people at work, interviewing them, reading the documentation the system runs on. Then I design with the people who will use the tool and the engineers who will build it, and I prototype in code when a decision depends on real data.
At Inria I was the founding designer: I set up how design, engineering and research worked together. I trained in human-computer interaction and visualization with Inria Saclay in France between 2016 and 2020.
Next, I'm looking for a Staff role on a product where data and AI meet real decisions, working closely with engineering, customers and leadership.
Mentoring and teaching
I mentored junior designers at NIC Chile, planned and ran exploratory workshops, and taught an introductory 2D animation workshop at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
